Collective Leisure is a Social Enterprise established in 2019 from a deep sense of social justice and an awareness that global health and well-being are tracking poorly. With a purpose of "Well-being without boundaries" we co-create programs for hard to reach, hardly reached and underserved communities. Enabling them to be well-beings and fulfil their greatest potential.
Our programs focus on increasing the well-being of our communities and includes activities such as adaptive sports, well-being programs, employment and training programs, inclusive sports programs in schools, mentoring programs and cross-sector collaboration movements such as Western Sydney Moving.
We have an established Sportability Club for children with disability aged 5-18 at Auburn Youth Centre in Lidcombe. On the back of its success, we are excited to launch the Adult Sportability Club in Parramatta LGA next month.
The Adult Sportability club will deliver multi-sport and well-being activities for adults with disability aged over 18 years of age. This includes people with a learning disability, physical or sensory impairments.
The Club is fun, friendly, safe and inclusive. It is held in a fully accessible facility. Sessions are run by experienced coaches who speak multiple community languages so everyone can feel at home. Sports and games are adapted to suit the abilities and requests of participants.
Sessions run weekly on Thursdays starting 1st December 2022 from 6:30-8pm at Dundas Community Centre in Telopea. The first session is FREE and subsequent sessions are eligible for NDIS funding.
