What are the challenges in remaining impartial?

The challenge in remaining impartial as an MPIO is to I think be aware and remember that you are not part of the problem and you're not part of the solution. You're there to support the person and give them information and options. You need to remove yourself from the situation that's being reported to you and see yourself as a person that's giving help by giving those information and options and not advice.
