How difficult is it to remain objective?

Look at times it can be extremely difficult for emotion not to get in the way when you are approached with some of these difficult situations. I suppose it's just important for the Member Protection Information Officer to understand their role and realize that they are there to listen and to provide support when needed ensuring that you know that they are aware of the processes that the club may have in place. I suppose you know the MPIO should help to be supportive where possible as well as not to be objective or judgmental when people may come to them with some sensitive information. Also important for the MPIO to realize that you know there are always two sides to a story and that is their role to make sure that you know that they do listen and take notes so that they're able to help find a middle ground and a solution to the problem as quickly as possible.
