  • Be supportive and responsive.
  • Be a positive role model for your child, other players and the parents around you by:
    • setting a positive example
    • reinforcing good behaviour when it occurs
    • helping your child (and their friends) understand bullying behaviour and strategies for dealing with it should it occur
    • speaking up if you see instances of bullying
    • encouraging your child to speak up.
  • Act - if you notice bullying behaviour, irrespective of whether it involves your child or not, bring it to the attention of the coach or the administrator.
